![]() Square did much of the development of Super Mario RPG under direct guidance from producer Shigeru Miyamoto. Super Mario RPG was the final Mario game released for the system as well as one of the last games Square produced for Nintendo hardware until Chocobo Land: A Game of Dice in 2002. ![]() Yoko Shimomura composed the game's score, which was released on a soundtrack album in Japan shortly after the game's debut. Super Mario RPG was directed by Yoshihiko Maekawa and Chihiro Fujioka and produced by Shigeru Miyamoto. The game features five permanent playable characters. Smithy has stolen the seven star pieces of Star Road where all the world's inhabitants' wishes become Wish Stars, and Mario must return the pieces so these wishes may again be granted. The story focuses on Mario and his teammates as they seek to eliminate the game's main antagonist, Smithy. The game contains token similarities to other Square role-playing video games, such as the Final Fantasy series, with a story and action-based gameplay derived from the Super Mario Bros. It is the first role-playing video game in the Mario series. Nintendo ported the game, with minor differences, to the Wii's Virtual Console service in 2008 to regions around the world. It was originally released on Main Japan and on in North America. Oh! And they should also have Kensuke Tanabe resign from Nintendo.Super Mario RPG (スーパーマリオRPG Sūpā Mario Āru Pī Jī?), subtitled Legend of the Seven Stars in the North American release, is an action role-playing game developed by Square (now Square Enix) and published by Nintendo for the Super Famicom and Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). Mallow and Geno should also appear in mainline Mario games AND spin-off games. I think they should also make a sequel to this game, with the Smithy Gang as the central antagonists and Culex as the main antagonist and final boss, and remake AND make sequels to Mario Sports Mix and Fortune Street that include Mallow and Geno, more characters from Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest, characters from the Chrono series, and characters from Star Ocean and Valkyrie Profile. Of course, it'll have to be edited for modern times, as well. There's also this fanfic focusing on Mallow called "Through the Eyes of a Frog Prince" (by MistyKoopa) that should be a chapter book that comes with the game. There are also perfect names for Mallow's parents: his father's name is Cumulo, and his mother's name is Strata. Also, the Chancellor should be replaced by Toadsworth, Nimbus Land should be called the Cloud Kingdom and the Nimbus species should be renamed Cirrs. Of course, a lot of things will have to be changed, especially Princess Toadstool's name to her modern name, Princess Peach, and the enemies' names will have to be changed to their modern names as well, including Beezos. And I hope they bring back bosses and/or villains such as Booster, the Axem Rangers, Exor, Smithy, even the optional boss, Jinx, and the hidden/secret boss, Culex, the Dark Knight of Vanda, with Yoko Shimomura doing arrangements of Prelude (Final Fantasy), the Boss Battle Theme from Final Fantasy IV, and the Victory Fanfare (Final Fantasy), and add in new and additional bosses and villains. So why not a remake of Super Mario RPG, with HD graphics, an updated story with more fleshed-out characters, new playable characters, new and additional non-playable characters, animated cutscenes, new minigames, new cameos of Nintendo characters, like Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Fox, Captain Falcon, and more, cameos of characters from Square Enix RPGs, such as Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, the Chrono series, Star Ocean, Valkyrie Profile, and more, and full voice acting? We also need Yoko Shimomura to remake the music, and compose more/new music. We need Nintendo and Square Enix to make a Switch or next-gen console Remake of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars! We got a remake of Secret of Mana, and a remake of Final Fantasy 7.

![]() I can empathize Sisyphean task of updating all the thousands of pages that use that code. To shut down Java in Safari, click Safari > Preferences (or press Command-,), select the Security tab at the top of the window, and uncheck Enable Java. Most of the ones I’ve visited have been updated but I just spotted some yesterday that hadn’t. Then I contacted the Webmaster for Greenville schools and he updated some of the pages. I went to their Web site and read that they had an update that would correct the problem. I right clicked on the button and found out that they were preprogrammed by some company. I’ll just remember not to upgrade the rest of my network.įinally, I did solve the Flash button issue. Of course I can uninstall IE9, but you got to keep moving forward. And I wanted to show someone something and needed IE8 to do it. Of course I forgot that that was the easiest system for me to use to troubleshoot problems with IE9 since it still had IE8. Then there was the “Stupid Move of the Day.” I’m generally happy with IE9 so I decided to upgrade one of my other systems to use it. Don’t know if they are Java or Flash based. Now I can usually log in and stay logged in though occasionally when I use a feature on a site (the Newegg Wish List for example) it logs me out. I added them to my Trusted sites and turned off Tracking Protection. I can log into them in Firefox but not IE9. I still have trouble with logging in to sites. What is new in IE9 that changed that? HTML5? Interestingly used to lock up my browser for a LONG time, now it just locks it for a short time and I can move to another Tab while I’m waiting. I should probably do a better job of documenting what they are and how I try to solve them since my memory is not very good. I’m still having problems with various Web sites. Additionally, since the software runs on a remote server, I don't need to have a powerful computer to run it. This is a huge convenience, and it means that I never have to worry about losing my work. It eliminates the need to backup files on external hard drives and also allows me to access it from different devices. I also appreciate that I can store my projects in the cloud with Soundation. In reality this is really handy, especially when I'm working with other musicians who may be using different systems. This eliminates any compatibility issues between different computers. It is a highly compatible web-based software with a wide range of operating systems, including Windows, MacOS, and Linux. In my experience, Soundation offers wider options for any kind of workflow in audio editing. However, it's worth noting that the free version may have limited features which may not be as comprehensive as those offered by alternative software PROS To sum up, Soundation is a web-based software that is compatible with a variety of operating systems and offers the added convenience of cloud-based storage, allowing for easy access to projects from different devices without the need for file backups. There are high chances that one may end up paying for features they will not use which in this case will lead to a waste of money. These purchases can add up over time, and may not be affordable for all users, particularly those who are just starting out or using the software as a hobby. Firstly, Soundation doesn't offer a free trial for all of its additional features, which means that users may need to purchase a subscription or additional functionalities without knowing if they will be useful or not. One of the main disadvantages of Soundation is the purchasing additional functionalities or a subscription is the cost. It's a huge time-saver, and it enables us to work together seamlessly. As a musician, this allows me to work on projects with other musicians, even if we're not in the same location. The kind of music projects I undertake demand a lot of collaboration and Soundation offers great real-time collaboration capabilities. This means that I can access the software from any device with an internet connection, which allows me to work on my music from different locations or devices without the need to transfer files back and forth. One of the things that I love the most about it is that it's web-based and doesn't require any installation. PROSĪs a freelance music producer, I've been using Soundation for a while now and I have to say, I'm really impressed with its capabilities. However, I do recommend considering carefully before purchasing additional functionalities or subscriptions to ensure that you're getting the most value for your money. It's user-friendly, easy to use and offers a wide range of features for music production. All in all, I think that Soundation is a great choice for music producers like me. When I first arrived in Sichuan, I was told no tea porters were still alive. Today the trail lives on in the memories of men like Luo Yong Fu, a watery-eyed 92-year-old whom I met in the village of Changheba, a ten-day walk for a tea porter west of Yaan. Tibet had something China desperately needed: horses. The desire to trade was why the trail existed, not the romantic swapping of ideas and ethics, culture and creativity associated with the legendary Silk Road to the north. Yet the trail was heavily used for centuries, even though the cultures at either end at times despised each other (and still do). Snowstorms often buried the western part of the trail, and torrential rains ravaged the eastern portion. One of the highest, harshest trails in Asia, it marched up out of China's verdant valleys, traversed the wind-stripped, snow-scoured Tibetan Plateau, forded the freezing Yangtze, Mekong, and Salween Rivers, sliced into the mysterious Nyainqentanglha Mountains, ascended four deadly 17,000-foot passes, and finally dropped into the holy Tibetan city. The ancient passageway once stretched almost 1,400 miles across the chest of Cathay, from Yaan, in the tea-growing region of Sichuan Province, to Lhasa, the almost 12,000-foot-high capital of Tibet. Before the trail is bulldozed or obliterated, I've come to explore what's left of this once famous but now all-but-forgotten route. Recklessly rushing to modernity, China has been paving over its past as fast as possible. In fact, most of the original Tea Horse Road is gone. I'm forced to admit that here at least the Tea Horse Road has vanished. In the morning I probe ahead another 500 yards before an impenetrable wall of jungle stops me, for good. That night I camp high above the creek, but the wood is too wet to make a fire. I'm hoping, at some point, to cross over Maan Shan, a high pass between Yaan and Kangding. ![]() I carry on, entering a narrow passage where the sidewalls are so steep and slippery I have to hang on to trees to keep from falling into the bouldery creek far below. The vestigial cobblestone path lasts only 50 feet, climbs a set of broken stairs, then once again disappears, swept away by years of monsoonal deluges. ![]() Some of the stones are pitted with water-filled divots, left by the metal-spiked crutches used by hundreds of thousands of porters who trod this trail for a millennium. Before me is a four-foot-wide cobblestone trail curving up through the forest, slick with green moss, almost overgrown. Then, with one wide sweep of my ax, the bamboo falls. A few days earlier I met a man who used to carry backbreaking loads of tea along the path he warned me that time, weather, and invasive plants may have wiped out the Tea Horse Road. Just 60 years ago, when much of Asia still moved by foot or hoof, the Tea Horse Road was a thoroughfare of commerce, the main link between China and Tibet. This story appears in the May 2010 issue of National Geographic magazine.ĭeep in the mountains of western Sichuan I'm hacking through a bamboo jungle, trying to find a legendary trail. ![]() The GFS precipitation totals of 1/4th around Fort Collins to 1 inch down to southwest Denver (Figure 10) is still probably overdone. Recent runs do see the GFS moving the low further south like the other models. The GFS also puts 4-8 inches in the foothills west of Boulder, Denver and south of Denver. The GFS creates a snow-free spot east of Fort Collins with 2-3 inches along I-25 north of Denver (Figure 9). Denver may get 1-3 inches in places on the western and southern sides of the city. By that, the NAM (Figure 8) has spotty snow totals along I-25 north of Denver (with many locations not receiving any accumulating snow). The Euro and NAM have the low doing its "best" while sitting in eastern and northeastern New Mexico. That would have given the Front Range and Denver a significant winter storm+moisture. There has been a disagreement between the models for many days with the GFS bringing the low into eastern and southeastern Colorado. On Monday, there will be a mix of rain and snow on the Colorado eastern plains and snow for the mountains and communities along the Front Range and I-25 (Figure 7). There are even widespread chances of thunder storms (non-severe) Sunday night into Monday (Figure 6). On Sunday, the system is binging snow to the western slopes of Colorado and much of Utah (Figure 5). This next system is powered by a healthy trough moving across the state on Monday (Figure 4). This weekend will see comfortable 60's for highs until a cold front sweeps the state in the early afternoon Sunday. This is the wonderful combination of water and warmth needed to bring the plant world back to life! (Figures 1 and 2.) The great news is areas along I-25 received about 1/2 to 3/4th inch of rain. Boulder only received 3-5 inches but the mountains above Boulder saw 14-16 inches. Broomfield did a bit better getting about 2-4 inches. Don’t pretend you wouldn’t pay to see that (pic: Microsoft) Imagine Master Chief fighting Mario or Pikachu. Plus, with the future of Crash’s series in doubt thanks to Activision’s decision to focus most of its energy on Call Of Duty games, an appearance in gaming’s biggest crossover would be the perfect bone to throw to fans. ![]() Ultimate’s roster has routinely demonstrated that even the most unlikely candidates can make it in.Ĭrash being a third party character certainly helps and if he was the final DLC character, it’d definitely be a memorable way of bringing the post-launch content to a close. Wong hired a photographer and started brainstorming names. This was a fun food item, and I thought other people would see the funness of it and want to try it for themselves.” “But, I thought, hey, maybe there’s something here. “I don’t have a chef’s background,” Wong said. He also experimented with making different toppings. For two or three months, he experimented at home – making a batch at night, then seeing in the morning how it had turned out. Wong tried a variety of different kinds of water and gelatin. “So I was like maybe I can try to make this myself, and I started researching how to jelly water.” In early 2016, when Wong randomly remembered the mochi and looked around online, he couldn’t find it in New York. But he figured he would find them soon enough on the trendy New York food scene and “kind of forgot about them for a year.” He came across the whimsical water cakes online in 2015 and was intrigued. Wong, originally from LA, has never been to Japan. He modeled his dessert after mizu shingen mochi, which – he said – roughly translates to “Japanese water cakes.” The Raindrop Cake website – – describes the confection as “a light, delicate and refreshing raindrop made for your mouth.”īoth the website and the cake were developed earlier this year by Wong, a 36-year-old digital brand strategist in New York who has since quit advertising to focus on his new food business. The texture is supposed to be part of the appeal. I think the American palate finds jelly things kind of weird.” “People are nervous about it,” said Raindrop Cake creator Darren Wong. It’s a conversation starter, something that piques curiosity, maybe even a bit of awe, uncertainty, incredulity. Raindrop Cake is glassy-looking and shaped like an oversized drop of dew. By then, it was already an internet sensation. I had come across photos online of the see-through sweet, which debuted in spring at Smorgasburg in New York and arrived at the LA event in mid-June.
